The Next NHAC General Meeting will be Friday, July 25th at Kingwood College.
The Novice Session will be:
Astrophotography - Bits and Bytes
Presented by James Billings
in the Astronomy Lecture Room upstairs, at 6:30 PM.
The General Meeting will be held in the Lecture Hall, the usual location, at 7:30 PM.
The subject will be:
NASA’s Orion Program,
Presented by Ann Wargetz.
Ann is a former and early member of NHAC, and is currently with the
NASA JSC / JPL SSA.
She gave us a very interesting presentation 2 months ago, and we are lucky to have her back.
Upcoming calendar items:
July 25, Friday, the monthly NHAC meetings at the Kingwood Campus, Lone Star College.
- July 26, Saturday, the regularly scheduled Star Party at the O’Brien Dark site near Dobbin on Highway 105. As with any Star Party the intent is that there be a number of the more experienced observers available to answer any questions of the newer members. Additionally there are several 10” Dobsonian Telescopes in the container available for use by any member. This Star Party is on the night of the New Moon, so weather permitting we should have a good sky.
I am still working on the website issue, again, if you have any questions in the meantime, please contact me at email@example.com.
